Terry Fox School Run
The 2025 Terry Fox School Run is set for this month, and we are so excited to be taking part! Our event will be taking place on Thursday, September 18 at 1:00 pm. Fultonvale is honored to have a special guest this year. Fred Fox, Terry’s brother, will be coming to our school to help kick off our Terry Fox Run/Walk. We are all so excited to have him come and talk about Terry with our students.
This event supports vital cancer research while also building incredible school spirit for our students. Let’s all show how incredible and generous our school community is and work to reach the fundraising goal of $3700.00.
The Terry Fox Foundation has created an online fundraising page customized for our school. Don’t delay, let’s start fundraising today!
- Donate online at: https://schools.terryfox.ca/FultonvaleElementaryJunior
- Click the link above to donate or search for Fultonvale Elementary Junior High
- Receipts are issued immediately to donors by email from the Terry Fox Foundation
- Support your child’s fundraising efforts
- Share their fundraising link or your child’s school’s link with family and friends to help them reach their goal
We are very excited to be a part of this year’s Terry Fox event. This is our opportunity to go the distance for this year’s event “Finish It” together. Please join us to support cancer research while building incredible school spirit for all our students and staff. Thank you in advance for your support!

EIPS Conduct Acknowledgement Forms - Your response is required
The Conduct Acknowledgments form provides families and students with an opportunity to review and reflect on student conduct expectations. Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) has administrative procedures outlining student code of conduct and related expectations. Annually, these documents are shared with families for your review.
Thank you to all families who have completed the forms. If you have not yet submitted the permission click, you should have received a reminder to complete the form. Please take a moment to review the documents linked within the 2025-26 EIPS Conduct Acknowledgments permission click and acknowledge you’ve had an opportunity to review them and share relevant information with your child.
Complete your child’s Correction and Verification Form by September 24
As the 2025-26 school year gets underway, it’s important the school and Division have correct information on file in the student record. All families are required to complete a Correction and Verification Form for each student by Sept. 24, 2025.
Access the form through the PowerSchool Parent Portal by clicking the Correction and Verification Form tab in the left-hand menu. If this tab isn’t visible in your Parent Portal, contact your child’s school directly for assistance. Review and submit updates for each child linked in your account. Be sure to review all information, paying particular attention to phone numbers and email addresses as well as the emergency contacts on file. If you’ve recently moved, this is also where you’ll update your address information.
Completing the form is easy and takes only a few minutes. Simply, review the form and each of its sections, make revisions where required, and then select “Submit” for school office staff to review. Even if you don’t have any changes to make, when you “Submit,” the Division has a record that you’ve reviewed the data, and we know we still have the most up-to-date information on file for your child.
If you have questions about the form or are having trouble with your Parent Portal account, contact the school office.

INFORMATION
The Snurtch - Exploring Co-Regulation Through The Snurtch
This year, Fultonvale students and staff are using the book The Snurtch by Sean Ferrell as a shared schoolwide story to help us learn more about emotions, self-regulation, and co-regulation. The Snurtch is a scribbly, scrunchy character that shows up when feelings get big — something we can all relate to! Students are exploring what their own “Snurtch” might look like and learning strategies to calm it down, with the support of their classmates and teachers.
In August, our staff engaged in professional learning around co-regulation — the idea that we can help one another feel safe, calm, and ready to learn. This work is now being woven into classroom lessons, buddy activities, and schoolwide practices to support the social-emotional wellbeing of all Fultonvale students.
