All Students Moving to Online Learning

Yesterday evening, Premier Jason Kenney announced several  additional public-health restrictions to address the growing infection rate and the subsequent strain on the health-care system.

As part of that announcement and given the significant impacts of COVID-19 in communities around Alberta, the Government of Alberta has mandated all kindergarten to Grade 12 students across the province to temporarily shift to at-home learning beginning May 7, with a return to in-school learning on May 25. We have a scheduled Professional Learning Day on May 7. This means the school is closed to students and their first day of online learning will be Monday, May 10.

We know this news will be upsetting to many school families, but the need to halt the growth of COVID-19 throughout the province has reached a critical point. Please know that Fultonvale, and the Division overall, will do all it can to support your child’s learning at home through to May 25.

We will reach out again to share detailed information about what the transition to temporary online learning will look like for your child.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding during this difficult time.
